Founder of underground Bass / Hip-hop night 'Overly Gassed (Omeara / Netil House / Curtain Hotel); Cooks has been DJ'ing professionally since the age of 16, building a reputation for a turntablist ‘mini-mix’ style cutting / scratching and a soundtrack of Uk Grime / Garage, Baltimore house and Hip-Hop mashed-up with eclectic vocals and samples.

Cooks initially got his break on the UK Garage Pirate radio and club circuit in his teens playing on Mission FM. His turntable skills set him apart on another scene later on in life as he broke into the emerging underground East-London electronic scene in 2007 - at nights like Alwayz Fridayz, Nuke 'em All, SayNomMore, Union at Fabric, Your Moms House etc. He was soon launched on to some of the biggest festival stages playing to thousands at (Glastonbury, Lovebox, Big Chill, Offset, Pukkelpop, Donau, Transmusicales etc....) and superclubs globally, alongside the electronic scene's biggest DJs and artists (De La Soul, Diplo, Mark Ronson, Edbanger DJ's, Jam Master Jay, Boys Noize, Jaguar Skills...)

Cooks has supported acts such as Friendly Fires, Yo! Majesty, Dels as their tour DJ as well as playing fashion runway shows (e g Balenciaga S/S07) pirate radio stations as well as hosting ‘My Dad’s better than Yours’ on Balaami Radio + various brand events as well as curating nights such as Manhattan Mondays at Shoreditch House, Pocket at The Box etc.
Cooks continues to crate-dig whenever travelling and curate nights more locally - Recent residences include Beast Mode @ Bussey Building, Shoreb*tch, Block Party @ Concrete etc as well as others.
